Engraved wood vs printed plastic picks
- Engraving is permanent. A laser burns the design into the wood, so it can't rub or peel off the way printed ink on a plastic pick can.
- Real wood feels and sounds different. Wooden picks give a warm, mellow tone that suits acoustic strumming, and each one has its own grain. Read our wooden guitar picks guide.
- Made to keep. A wooden pick in an engraved box is a keepsake as much as a pick, which makes it a popular gift.
- Printed plastic is better for full colour. If you need a full-colour photo on a pick, printing is the right method. Engraving is single-tone, burned into the natural wood.
